Busy week for Alsager Town as new faces arrive at Wood Park

Local Sport by Gwyn Griffiths 22nd Jul 2021

ALSAGER Town boss Brian Wilson has had a busy week completing five new signings as preparations for the 2020/21 season are stepped up.

Mamudo Dabo, a striker who spent time as a youngster with Tranmere Rovers and winger Hamish Essa have joined the club. Sam Latham, Matthew France and Luke Vayro have also been added to the North West Counties Division One South outfit's squad.

Alsager beat Northern Premier League newcomers 1874 Northwich 1-0 at Wood Park on Tuesday night.

They had a gap in their warm-up schedule for this Saturday (July 24) after late cancellations, but that has been filled by Staffordshire County Senior League side City of Stoke.

Kick-off at Wood Park is 2.30pm and it is free admission for NHS staff and the under-16s.
