What's On in Alsager this weekend: Jewellery making, live music and a Macmillan fundraiser

It's another Bank Holiday weekend and there's lots happening – jewellery making, live music and Macmillan fundraiser

Friday, May 26th   

Fancy a good book to curl up with? Have you been to Alsager Book Emporium in Hassall Road Methodist Chapel in Hassall Road?

Read this recent story about the venue here It's open from 10 am until 2 pm.

Beading Amazing in Crewe Road has a 'beginners bracelet and earrings' session to learn the basic jewellery making techniques from 1 pm until 3 pm.

The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue have The Six Ties, a three- piece band featuring ex members of Billy J Kramer and the Dakotas, The Magill 5 and The Casuals. There will be songs from The Beatles, The Fortunes, The Monkees and The Shadows to name a few. Tickets are £7.50.

Meanwhile there's a Modern Jive Revival Freestyle evening at Alsager Civic from 8 pm until 12 pm. Tickets are £10 on the door.

At The Mere Inn, there's live music from Gavin Allport from 8.30 pm until 10.30 pm.

Saturday, May 27th

Beading Amazing in Crewe Road has a 'chevron fringe earrings' class from 11 am until 1 pm. The cost if £12. 

The Plough Inn in Crewe Road has two Macmillan Cancer Support events going on to raise money for the cause. One of the unlucky bosses will be 'beaned'! Whoever has most pennies in their pot will be mushy pea-ed! Also on the night four chefs are having their heads shaved for Macmillan Cancer Support.  

Sunday, May 28th

The Linley Tavern has a 'Greek super Sunday' event from 12 pm onwards with a Greek themed BBQ from Ey Up Duck with live acoustic music from Gav Allport.

Alsager Bridge Club will be meeting at The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue from 6.30 pm until 10 pm.

If you play bridge, this is a chance to try out your skills and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere – check this is still on this weekend.
