It's the weekend before Alsager Music Festival so everyone is getting ready for the big event.

Still a few things happening though and Wimbledon is on TV. There's a chance to clean up the town, dance the night away and listen to some acoustic music.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Saturday, July 9th  

Feeling a bit jaded and wanting to get fit? Wild Bootcamp in The Woods is a great way to get moving in the outdoors.

The Whirligig Wild Boot camp takes in School Wood, Scholar Green is a circuit-style fitness group for those who want to exercise in fresh air with a friendly group.

Fancy a bit of exercise and helping the town? Alsager Clean Team has its monthly litter pick. Meet at The Mere pub in Crewe Road at 10am.

Areas to be covered include Crewe Road, Station Road, Cedar Avenue and St Gabriel's School.

Refreshments are provided afterwards and equipment is provided or bring your own.     

At Bank Corner, it's Bounce Saturdays from 9 am until 2 am.

Sunday, July 10th 

It's that time of the week again. Wind down your weekend with live acoustic music from 5 - 7pm and homemade Gloucester Old Spot sausage rolls on the bar from 5pm until they are gone!

Sunday sessions at The Mere Inn in Crewe Road.

Alsager Bridge Club meet at The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue from 6.30pm until 10pm.

If you play bridge, this is a chance to try out your skills and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere.
