It's the weekend of the Women's Euro final and it's also the start of the new season for our local football team.  

But it's not all football – there's plenty of other things happening including live music and a craft fair.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

 Saturday July 30th       

Feeling a bit jaded and wanting to get fit? Wild Bootcamp in The Woods is a great way to get moving in the outdoors.

The Whirligig Wild Bootcamp takes in School Wood, Scholar Green is a circuit-style fitness group for those who want to exercise in fresh air with a friendly group.

There's a craft and gift fair at Alsager Civic. Admission is free and the event runs from 9 am until 1 pm. There will be crafters, makers and small businesses.  

Alsager Town Football Club starts the new season off with a match against Wythenshawe FC at Wythemshawe. Kick off is 3 pm.

Meanwhile there's lots of live music in the evening. The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue has Andy Crosbie as Elton John. Members £10, non-members £12.50. 

Alsager Social Club has a 'Summer Sizzler' – 11 bands for £7 (pay on the door) while the band 'Old Money' are playing at the Railway Inn at 9pm.

Sunday, July 31st    

It's the day of the Women's Euro final with England playing Germany. Check local venues to see who is showing the match.

I Q Therapies in Sandbach Rd has a 'Sound bath meditation – journey through sound' event from 4 pm until 5.30 pm.

Immerse yourself in the ancient sounds produced by a mixture of singing bowls, chimes and bells. Create your personal sanctuary through sound.

Meanwhile Alsager Bridge Club is at The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue, meeting from 6.30pm until 10pm.

If you play bridge, this is a chance to try out your skills and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere.
