It's the big Christmas weekend and there's lots happening in Alsager.

We have gone through and picked out a few but if we've missed anything please let us know!

Here are our top event picks for the coming days: 

Thursday, December 21st

Wesley Place Methodist Church's dinner hub project which started in September 2022 in response to the cost-of-living crisis is holding its Christmas dinner from y 3pm until 5pm. Everyone is welcome free but donations are welcome. Christmas dinner with a goodie bag for all the children to take away.

Alsager Golf and Country Club Jazz Society has a quintet led by top trumpeter Phil Lucas and legendary reeds man John Hallam.

The line up is completed by talented house musicians, Peter Robinson (bass) and Roger Keay (drums). The fun starts at the golf club at 8pm. All are welcome and the cost if £7 on the door with an optional raffle.

Friday, December 22nd

It's the 'Tots Time' Christmas party at Alsager Civic from 9.30 am until 11 am - great event to give your little ones chance to have some fun! Ticket are £3 per child - details in the poster below.

Looking for a last minute Christmas gift? Have you been to Alsager Book Emporium in Hassall Road Methodist Chapel in Hassall Road? They have a book on almost ever subject and some of them are new, especially cookery books.

Fancy some music to wind down and get ready for the Christmas weekend? Jon Stevens is at The Mere Inn at 8.30 pm.

The Linley Tavern has a Christmas disco from 8pm until late.

Saturday, December 23rd

Alsager Seventh-day Adventist Church has its children's nativity service from 7 pm - 8 pm.

In the evening, the Linley Tavern has a clubland anthems tribute.

Sunday, December 24th 

The Mere Inn in Crewe Road is open from 2 pm - 11.30 pm providing some festive cheer and a break from the Christmas shopping!

St Mary's Church has a family friendly service suitable for all ages - 'The Christmas Story' at 3 pm. All are welcome.

Monday, December 25th

Fancy popping out while the turkey's cooking? Raise a glass to the day? The Mere Inn in Crewe Road is open from 12 noon until 2 pm.

Tuesday, December 26th

Local football derby on Boxing Day - Alsager Town Football Club aka The Bullets are away to Sandbach United with a 3 pm kick-off at Hind Heath Road in Sandbach.
