What's On in Alsager: A family fun day, live music and a Jubilee market

It's a weekend of Royal celebrations in Alsager with lots happening.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, June 3rd

At the Wilbraham Arms in Alsager, there will be breakfast baps to eat or take away from 10 am and hot drinks.

Jon Fisher will be returning to The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue with his tribute to the music and songs of Gary Barlow. Tickets are members £10.00 or non-members £12.50.

At Bank Corner, there's a ' Jublee'  party from 8 pm until 4 am.

Saturday, June 4th    

Feeling a bit jaded and wanting to get fit? Wild Bootcamp in The Woods is a great way to get moving in the outdoors.

The Whirligig Wild Boot camp takes in School Wood, Scholar Green is a circuit-style fitness group for those who want to exercise in fresh air with a friendly group.

At Alsager Civic Centre, there's a big Jubilee fun day Isabella, Elsa and Spiderman will all be there between 10am and 12 noon. DJ Mavx will be blasting the tunes all day along with Studio S performing on stage.

The RAFAC military band playing will be playing and there will be games, activities and prizes to be won plus a BBQ and outside bar. Go and join in the fun! The fun starts at 10 am and goes on until 2pm.

There's a special Platinum Jubilee Market at Rode Hall between 9 am and 1.30 pm. The Rode Hall Silver Band will be playing throughout the morning and at 11 am there will be a fun dog show.

Entry is £2 with all proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support. Classes will include dogs the judges would most like to take home, dog most like its owner and the best trick. :

Delicious doggy prizes will be awarded by Pawfect Bakes and there will also be a Jubilee cake competition so take along your cake to the stand outside the barn and judging will take place at 12 noon.

The Courtyard Kitchen will be open selling homemade cakes and brunches and the gardens bursting with azaleas.

In the evening, Ey Up Duck's 'Laughing Duck' has Joe Zalias, Gerry Kyei, and Ada Campe. Their impressive credits include the Comedy Store, Spike TV, The Breakfast show, and much more – check for ticket availability.

     

At Bank Corner, Alsager's big night out with DJ MaVX on on from 9pm until 2am.

 

Sunday, June 5th

 

Alsager Bridge Club is at The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue, meeting from 6.30pm until 10pm.

If you play bridge, this is a chance to try out your skills and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere.
