What's On in Alsager: Two boot camps, a cocktail and casino night and music galore

You'll be spoilt for choice this weekend in Alsager as there's two weekly boot camps, footie, a charity cocktail night and live music galore.

here.and press the black 'Nub It' button to get started. Here are our top event picks for the coming days: Friday March 11th You've heard of boot camps for adults well now there's one for puppies! Wilderness Walks have a puppy and beginner bootcamp at Scholar Green village hall at 6.30pm Learn basic obedience and lead work over a six week course. It is open to all breeds and ages. Saturday March 12th Feeling a bit jaded and wanting to get fit? Wild Bootcamp in The Woods is a great way to get moving in the outdoors. The Whirligig Wild Bootcamp takes in School Wood, Scholar Green is a circuit-style fitness group for those who want to exercise in fresh air with a friendly group. The boot camp was featured recently by Alsager Nub News here.

Alsager Town FC travel to Sandbach today for their local football derby. They play Sandbach United FC at Hind Heath Road. Kick-off is 3pm.

In the evening, you're spoilt for choice with four great events. The chair of Alsager Town Council, Cllr Michael Unett, stages a Charity Cocktail and Casino night.

The event starts at 7.30 pm and takes place at Alsager Social Club, Long Avenue.

The event will be raising money for Cllr Unett's chosen charities - Alsager Food Bank, British Heart Foundation and White Ribbon UK.

At Ey Up Duck in Alsager there's a Neil Diamond Tribute night. The show starts at 8pm but doors open 6pm so you can have relaxed drinks and food before the show starts or after.

The Thirteen Club has a Marc Bolan / Glam Rock tribute night on. Get your feather boa and stack heeled boots out of the loft and put glitter in your hair! Members £8.00 and non- members £10.00.

Circa '81, featuring the sounds of the 1980s and 1990s aka the Human League, Soft Cell and Depeche Mode is on at the Wilbraham Arms in Sandbach Road North, starting at 9pm.

Sunday March 13th

Alsager Bridge Club is at The Thirteen Club in Cedar Avenue, meeting from 6.30pm until 10pm.

If you play bridge, this is a chance to try out your skills and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere.
