Here are our top event picks for the coming days: Saturday December 18th The Olive and Stitch Market, a food and gift market, is on at Alsager Civic from 9.30 am until 1pm. Local produce, Fairtrade food and gifts and quirky gifts – perfect for Christmas and a chance to buy some unique festive goodies. In addition, the Honest Kitchen, which serves up handmade, locally produced food and drinks, can be enjoyed in the cafe area. In the evening, there's not one but two DJs at Bank Corner. Mr Bigz and DJ Hollywood will be spinning the discs and keeping you entertained. Sunday December 19th Sunday promises to be truly magical. The big man aka Santa will be making an appearance on his bike. Harlequins Cycling Club will be escorting him round ensuring he doesn't stop for a glass of mulled wine! He sets off at 9.30 am from Alsager Golf Club before riding round the roads and estates in Alasger. Look out and check him out on his way round. Alsager Civic has a fun afternoon with the showing of the Polar Express movie. Unfortunately it's sold out but those with tickets are asked to attend in their pyjamas and dressing gowns. Each guest will receive a fully loaded hot chocolate and cookies and children will receive a believe bell but remember the bell only rings for those who believe!
