Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Saturday October 30th

Alsager Craft & Gift Fair is back at the Alsager Civic from 9am until 1pm. There will be stalls selling everything from iced Halloween biscuits to Artisan vegan fudge.

Alsager branch of the Royal British Legion start their collections for this year's Poppy Appeal and will be at Asda. Give generously! Last year they raised over £9,000 despite Covid and this year they are hoping to top the figure of over £19,000 two years ago

It's Halloween weekend so lots of spooky things going on including Rode Heath Primary School Parents' Association's Halloween pumpkin trail.

Buy a trail map at The Broughton Arms and go pumpkin hunting! Can you find the pumpkins and spell the spooky word?

The Bank Corner in Alsager has an Upha brass band, a barbecue and a DJ at its Oktoberfest while live music from the Shakes is on at the Mere Inn in Alsager at 8.30 pm.

Sunday October 24th

Continuing the Halloween theme, Rhema Church in Chapel Lane, Rode Heath is celebrating all that's good with its Patch's Pumpkin Heroes event.

Drop in for prizes, games and crafts from 4.30 pm – 7pm.

The Bank Corner meanwhile has a Halloween quiz at 7.30pm for you to test your spooky knowledge!
