A tasty breakfast served up at the Alsager branch of the Royal British Legion's first breakfast club tempted tastebuds and got memories flowing!

Veterans from Twyford House care home in Alsager dropped in to enjoy the event at the Plough Inn, Alsager and exchange memories.

Six veterans from Twyford House attended, representing the WRVS, RAF, Royal Navy and the Army.

Around 36 people attended the monthly event at the Plough Inn in Alsager which was hailed a huge success.

Organiser, Jill Margett, branch and membership secretary of the RBL's Alsager branch said: "This is our first one and we're so delighted with how it went.

"Some people brought their children which was great and many are saying they can't wait until the next.

"Lots of friendships were made and people had a great time. In the future, we will be having guest speakers who will give information on how to access specialist veteran services through the DWP and NHS."
