Two men have been arrested following reports of a fight outside a Church Lawton pub.

Officers were called to the Horseshoe Inn, on Sandbach Road, Lawton Heath End, shortly after 10.30pm on Thursday.

But by the time the police had arrived the dispute had already ended.

Richard Green, of Dart Place, Seabridge, is due before magistrates on July 29. The 34-year-old was subject to a warrant for his arrest after failing to attend a previous court hearing.

Thirty-one-year-old Jason Tams, of Crown Bank Crescent, Talke Pits, was charged with being drunk and disorderly and obstructing a police officer.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At 10.33pm on Thursday, July 1, police received a report of a fight outside the Horsehoe Inn, Lawton Heath End, involving three men.

"Police attended, but there was no fight ongoing. On speaking with two men outside the pub, one was found to be wanted on warrant and was arrested.

"The second man was then arrested for being drunk and disorderly and obstructing a constable in his duties."
