Two Alsager men arrested as drones, drugs and cash seized in prison probe

HOMES in Crewe and Alsager have been raided as part of a police probe into the supply of drugs to a Cheshire prison.
Cheshire Police say they have arrested five people today (Wednesday) in connection with an investigation at Category C prison HMP Risley near Warrington.
Two women, aged 19 and 25, were arrested at addresses in Kestrel Drive and Pyrus Avenue in Crewe, while two men, aged 26 and 31, were arrested at addresses in Woodside Avenue and Grove Court in Alsager.
A third man, aged 31, was arrested at an address in Waldrons Lane in Crewe.
Four drones were seized while the warrants were being executed along with drugs and cash.
A police spokesperson said: "On Wednesday 13 January police conducted five warrants at addresses in Crewe and Alsager as part of an investigation into the supply of drugs to HMP Risley.
"All five remain in custody helping police with their enquiries."
