A Sandbach artist is bringing festive cheer to Alsager using her artistic skills to brighten up windows.

Victoria Holland was asked by the Friends of Sandbach Station to do some artwork on the waiting room windows some time ago.

The project was a massive success bringing cheer to travellers arriving and departing from the station.

And now the enterprising art student is taking her skills to other towns and has worked her magic on an Alsager pub and steakhouse.

Victoria completed one of her latest projects at The Porterhous in Crewe Road.

She has also done a festive design on the back window of the conservatory at The Wilbraham Arms in Sandbach Road North.

Nearby in Sandbach she has created windows for several retailers including hairdressers and a podiatrist.

Victoria runs her own business, Victoria's Art Studio alongside studying for a BA in Fine Art at Manchester School of Art.

She said: "The idea actually came out of Covid. I wasn't able to do my usual teaching of art to children so I came up with this idea.

"I design the artwork on my I pad then I use acrylic paint and pencils to do the designs. The paints wash off but last as long as you want the design."

"They work really well on shop windows and the business has really taken off."
