Take a look at how royal fever is hitting a nearby town for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
Royal fever is hitting Sandbach … ahead of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
One Sandbach hairdresser started the trend by having the Queen's head complete with her crown painted on the window of the shop on The Cobbles.
Then a wine, beer and gin bar across the historic Cobbles had a Crown and Union Jacks painted on their window by the same artist, Victoria's Art Studio.
And then a stunning crocheted letter box cover appeared on top of the Royal Mail Post Box opposite next to Sandbach Literary Institute in Bradwall Road.
Mike Fenton, salon owner at Francesco Group Sandbach in Market Square said: "It's such an important event we thought why not do something in our window?
"It's about the feel good factor and it's become quite a talking point. A lot of our customers are very patriotic and absolutely love it.
"It's become quite a talking point in the town and quite a few people have been stopping to have their photograph taken next to it.
"It's such an occasion and we won't see anything like this in our lifetime again so we thought we would do something special."
The wonderful crocheted letter box cover is thanks to a member of Sandbach Art Room whose base is opposite in Bradwall Road.
Bar Six Sandbach, also in Market Square, has also had its front window painted.
The business said on Social Media: "We're really looking forward to a long Jubilee bank holiday weekend and to help us get ready for it and celebrate we've had the fantastic Victoria's Art Studio jazz up our front window display."
Celebrations get into full swing with four-day bank holiday weekend starting on June 2nd.
The jubilee celebrates the anniversary Queen Elizabeth II's 70th year as monarch which has seen 14 Prime Ministers during her reign.
