Struggling families set to get a boost - thanks to kind-hearted care home residents
Struggling families in the area are set to get a boost – thanks to kind-hearted residents and their families at an Alsager care home.
Twyford House Care Home in Alsager has donated four crates of food and toiletries to Alsager and District Food Bank as part of Harvest Festival.
Two members from Alsager and District Foodbank visited the top-of-the-range home in Richard Woodcock Way to collect the donations.
Tracey Abbott, from the food bank said: "We're very grateful for these donations which will benefit those accessing our foodbank.
"We were worried that the cost-of-living crisis might prevent people from making donations but we've been pleasantly surprised."
Lorna Murphy, general manager at Twyford House said: "It's been a team effort and we're delighted that residents and families took part in this.
"Twyford House very much wants to be part of the local community and this is an example of us being just that.
