Thursday, October 10th

Love quizzes? The Mere Inn has a great one - the big Halloween quiz. With a £30 bar tab on the line and a chance to win the prize pot, book a table by the pub or calling them! Free entry. Limited spaces! Good luck.

Friday, October 11th

Get your weekend off to a great start and enjoy some comedy! The Civic Comedy night is on with lots of laughs and giggles.

Tickets cost £15 and are available from Alsager Civic by calling 01270 879711. Doors and bar open at 6.30 pm. The event starts at 8 pm.

Earlier in the day, there's a chance visit Alsager Book Emporium in Hassall Road Methodist Chapel in Hassall Road. They have a book on almost every subject and some of them are new, especially cookery books. It's open Friday 10 am–2 pm and Saturdays 10 am–2 pm.

Saturday, October 12th

Love coffee or tea and a chat for a good cause? It's Alsager Animals in Need's coffee morning at Alsager Civic.

The event is on from 9.30 am until 11.30 am and there's a 50 pm entry. ,We have a good range of items including clothing , books, jewellery, bric-a-brac, plants, pet items, home-made cakes, a raffle and tombola

Tea, coffee and squash available. Donations, cat food and volunteers welcome.

Today's the day! It's The Mere Inn's 'Rum Fest 24'. A touch of the Caribbean is coming to Alsager! It's the Old J and Mr.Bigz takeover from 3pm. Dedicated rum bar hosted by Old J and Afro Caribbean BBQ hosted by the none only Mr.Bigz - a legend in his own time as we revealed here with live music from the Duo Brothers! Put some tropical flair into your autumn weekend!

At The Linley Tavern, there's live music with Contraband.

Performing songs by a wide range of artists including The Beatles, REM and Eric Clapton from  8.30pm (ish)
