An Alsager businesswoman who was awarded an MBE in the King's birthday honours list has just notched up another accolade.
Helen Tonks MBE has been selected to join the newly-formed Cheshire and Warrington Business Advisory Board, of Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington.
The business advisory board will develop and review the economic strategies that will help deliver the sub-region's vision, ensuring that the 'voice of business' is clearly heard in economic policy making.
Headed by Steve Purdham, the Board will provide a strong, independent and diverse local business voice, adding value to wider economic strategies and delivery programmes.
Helen, who was recently presented with her MBE for her services to business and exports, said: "I am thrilled to have a seat at the table and the opportunity to be the voice of smaller, owner-managed and micro SMEs too.
"There are many of us out here, and we often go unheard but in appointing me to the Board, I am chuffed that Cheshire and Warrington clearly recognise the value and potential that we collectively bring to the local economy, and that we have something to say that is very worth listening to.
Founded in 2004, Hydraulics Online has customers in over 130 countries and Helen has been recognised as an export champion by the Government's Department for Business and Trade every year since 2019.
The award-winning company, based at Townend Farm in Audley, exports to countries all over the world. There website link is here
