Here are our top event picks for the coming days: 

Thursday, May 30th

Fancy a quiz? The Mere Inn has its legendary quiz with £100 on the line. Limited spaces left - book for a 7 pm start.

Enjoy dancing? Alsager Civic has the 'Thursday Social Dances' from 7.45 pm until 10.15 pm. Enjoy a mix of ballroom, Latin American and sequence dancing. 

Alsager Golf and Country Club has Charlie Wright and Alex Clarke starting at 8pm. All are welcome. The cost is £7 cash on the door.

Friday, May 31st

Bod Alsager has live music with Henry Myles playing from 7.30 pm. Well worth a visit!

Looking for a book to chill with? Have you been to Alsager Book Emporium in Hassall Road Methodist Chapel in Hassall Road? They have a book on almost every subject and some of them are new, especially cookery books.

Saturday, June 1st

Alsager Ukrainian Support Group has its 'Conversation Cafe' from 10.30 am until 12 noon at Alsager library, Sandbach Road North.

Meanwhile Alsager Animals in Need has its coffee morning at Alsager Civic from 9.30 am until 12 noon.

It's Rode Hall's summer market from 9 m until 1.30 pm with a large selection of stalls including Owl Farm Cheshire and Little Polish Treats. Market gardener John Jones will be there with seasonal vegetables and Chris Steel returns with his homegrown herbs. The craft barn will have a selection of leather, jewellery, art, felt animals and rugs ad there will be live music from Dan Toft Music UK and the courtyard kitchen will be open for breakfast, brunches and homemade cakes.

Alsager Book Emporium is open again from 10 am until 2 pm.

Sunday, June 2nd

Alsager Golf and Country Club has an open day from 9 am until 4 pm. They are holding free 'get into golf coaching' if you want to try golf or a free nine hole round with a member if you are considering membership. Everyone is welcome. Contact the pro shop for more information or to book.

Monday, June 3rd

Fancy getting fit as well as meeting new friends? Dance teacher, Mark Farrugia is at Alsager Civic with his Strictly Dance Fit classes from 6 pm until 7 pm. Here's a story we wrote about him here
