An Alsager animal rescue charity has issued an SOS to help find a forever home for a beautiful 11-month-old dog before Christmas.

The clock is ticking and Alsager Animals in Need will be closing its rehoming reservice on December 14th .

The charity says it is desperate to find a home for a host of animals in its care – including a lovable dog called Boris.

Boris came to the charity, whose website is here and Facebook page is here due to his owners' changing personal circumstances.

"Originally taken in as an unwanted puppy at just 12 weeks old, Boris has grown into a playful and energetic young dog who loves his walks and playtime," said a spokesperson.

"Despite his return to rescue, Boris remains a super dog who will make a wonderful companion with the right home.

"Boris is strong on the lead, but with further training, this can be easily managed.

"He's lived with other small dogs and is good with dog-savvy children. Having been used to a lot of space, Boris would benefit from a home that can offer him plenty of room to run and play."

The team at Alsager Animals in Need is urgently asking for people who are interested in adopting or fostering Boris or any of the other animals to get in touch.

"If you can't offer a home, sharing our posts could be just as helpful in finding these animals the loving families they deserve," they say.

For rehoming enquiries or more information,  call Hilary on 07939 255444 or Lisa on 07970 194929 between 11 am and 6 pm.

"Let's help Boris and the rest of the animals at Alsager Animal Rescue find their special forever homes before Christmas." said a spokesperson.
