The Titanic Brewery Foundation has announced it has donated £9,737 to eight local organisations to help fund and develop projects which improve local communities.

The foundation, established in 2024, works to support charities, community interest companies and grassroots causes that are committed to carrying out activities that benefit residents close to Titanic Brewery, its pubs and bod café bars.

Applications are now open for the next wave of funding, which will be awarded in March. Any group, organisation or local community project is welcome to apply for a grant of between £250 and £2,500, and they do not need to be a registered charity to be able to apply.

The only requirements are that the funds will go towards improving the lives and wellbeing of people in the local community, and that the group operates with a 10 mile radius of either the Titanic Brewery, a Titanic pub, or a bod café bar - check out the application process here

The latest recipients of grants ranging from £400 to £2500 from the Titanic Brewery Foundation are:

The Beaudesert Trust (£2,500)

An outdoor activity centre providing activities and experiences for young people on the edge of Cannock Chase. The grant awarded to them will be used to install new team building equipment and activities.

Ford Green Hall (£2,420)

A 17th century farmhouse in Stoke-on-Trent converted into a museum that explores what life was like for farmers and their families living in the 1600s. Their grant will be used to fund a calendar of special interactive events throughout the year.

Lyme Valley Orchard (£935)

A community orchard in Newcastle-under-Lyme that provides a wide variety of organically-produced fruits and nuts for free for local residents. They have been awarded a grant to fund the installation of an outdoor community noticeboard to share vital information about the orchard and things happening in the local community. 

New Vic Theatre (£500)

A theatre based in Newcastle-under-Lyme that operates extensive education and community outreach programs throughout Stoke-On-Trent and Staffordshire. A grant has been awarded to fund equipment and resources to help run a program of events for older people in the local community.

Newport & District Amateur Swimming Club (£1716)

A competitive swimming club based in Newport, Shropshire, with over 80 members including many young swimmers. Their grant will be used to fund the purchase of specialist antiwave lane ropes, which will allow swimmers to train in smoother water and better realise their potential and succeed in competitions. 

Read Easy North Staffs (£766)

An organisation that provides free one-to-one reading coaching to adults with reading difficulties living in North Staffordshire. They have received a grant from the Foundation that will allow them to recruit and train two new coaches to provide vital life-changing support to more adults in the local area. 

RicNic (£400)

A youth arts charity that helps young people across Staffordshire and Cheshire to develop resilience, confidence and other key skills that can support them through life. Their grant will be used to cover the costs of a rehearsal venue to enable them to run a week-long theatre-based project and community performance for 25 young people in East Cheshire.

Stone Allotments (£500)

A community-run allotment with over 100 plots for local residents and groups, including an Adult Education group and a children's Forest School. A grant has been awarded to fund the installation of raised beds that will allow users with accessibility requirements to make full use of the allotments.

Almost £10,000 has already been donated to eight local causes (Titanic Brewery).

The Titanic Brewery Foundation is funded not only by Titanic Brewery, but by the incredible generosity of the customers of the brewery and its pubs, who have kindly been converting their loyalty points into donations via the Titanic Brewery Loyalty App.
