A new member of staff at Twyford House Care Home in Alsager has won a prestigious award for her "remarkable maturity, resilience, and professionalism".

Niamh Scott won the 'New to Care' category at the annual Lovett Care awards at Shrigley Hall in Macclesfield after being nominated by her colleagues.

Lovett Care who own and run the Richard Woodcock Way home, say Niamh has quickly established herself as a "valued and trusted" member of the team.

"She is reliable, attentive, and proactive in meeting residents' needs, always taking the time to understand them as individuals and tailor her care accordingly," they said.

"Her commitment to high-quality care is evident in the positive relationships she builds not only with residents but also with their families and colleagues".

Lovett Care say a powerful reflection of Niamh's character has been her response to the recent loss of a resident with whom she had developed a close and meaningful bond.
