Alsager Jazz Club is at the Thirteen club with its weekly session. This week's features US saxophonist Jeff Guntrun. Jeff was born in Sioux City, Iowa, and began playing saxophone at age 10.

He studied jazz at William Paterson University just outside of New York City and went on to receive his degree in jazz performance from the University of Northern Iowa.

After working professionally as a woodwind specialist on cruise ships for several years, he moved to Manchester in 2015 to live with his British wife, harpist Rebecca Mills.

It's on from 8pm until 10 pm and is £10 on the door.
