A former drama student has launched a business to help children find their voice, express their ideas with confidence and carry the self-belief to thrive.

Alice Bramley has launched Drama Kids Mid Cheshire classes in Rode Heath near Alsager - to help local children transform their skills and equip themselves for the future.

The enthusiastic 29-year-old already volunteers her finely-tuned English skills at Alsager School and now she's hoping her love of drama will enthuse local children to join in her class in Rode Heath.

Drama Kids is a global franchise which has been around in the Mid Cheshire area for over 10 years and Alice has taken over the Mid Cheshire franchise, hoping to take it up to the next level.

The Rode Heath class is one of four classes across the region of Mid Cheshire which Alice runs.

"I live at Church Lawton and absolutely adore this area which is a perfect base to expand creativity," said Alice who graduated with a BA (Hons) in Drama Studies from Bath Spa University, alongside a Master's in Creative Writing from Chester.

"I began drama lessons in Kent 25 years ago, back when Drama Kids was known as Helen O'Grady. Starting at age four as a shy child, drama helped me grow in confidence."

For the past eight years, Alice, originally from the Sevenoaks area, has worked with children from birth to 18, combining her love of drama and storytelling with a passion for helping young people to succeed.

"My old drama lessons when I was growing up gave me confidence, communication and creativity for life, and I want to pass these skills on to the next generation," she said.

Alice, who took on the Mid Cheshire franchise with the help of a Government start-up loan, has fond memories of her own drama career when she threaded the boards with Sevenoaks Youth Theatre.

She added: "Drama Kids gave me confidence, communication and creativity for life, and I can't wait to pass those skills on to the next generation."
