Soccer heroes support Joseph Edwards & Sons' presentation to Alsager Walking Football Team

Two soccer legends who both played for Stoke City were on target when they appeared at helped present new kit to Alsager Walking Football Team ahead of their Portugese tour.

Professional footballers, Jimmy Greenhoff and Terry Conroy,who between them, clocked up almost 600 appearances for the Potters in their playing days, were at Alsager Cricket Club for the presentation.

Both players also played for fellow local side Crewe Alexandra. Jimmy Greenhoff also played for locally-supported sides Manchester United and Port Vale.

Joseph Edwards & Sons, a family-run funeral directors in Alsager, established in 1882 are supporting Alsager's Walking Football Team for their upcoming tour of Portugal.

Andrew Edwards presented the new kit to the teams last Thursday night (August 29th) at The Joe Edwards Pavilion at Alsager Cricket Club.

The firm is located at 144/146 Crewe Rd, Alsager, Stoke-on-Trent ST7 2JA.
