Firefighters went to a fire in Church Lawton involving a pile of smouldering manure.

They were called to the address near Crewe Road at 8.02 pm on Friday (21 August).

A spokesperson from Cheshire fire & Rescue Service said: "A hose reel was used to dampen down a pile of smouldering manure in Church Lawton.

"A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots, which were subsequently dampened down."
