Shopping trolleys, playhouse and a safe are found by litter pickers near Alsager stream

By Tom Avery 8th Apr 2021

Volunteers found three shopping trolleys, one playhouse, a safe and filled eight bags full of litter, all pulled within a stream area in Alsager during a two-hour clean up.

Cllr Jane Smith, of the Animal Welfare Party, organised a litter pick around the stream area in Wood Park yesterday morning (Saturday, 3rd April).

Cllr Smith said: "A big thank you to the volunteers on our Animal Welfare Party litter pick.

"Three shopping trolleys, one playhouse, a safe and eight bags full of litter all pulled out of a stream in Alsager that's home to lots of wildlife."
