A primary school near Alsager recently rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted is holding its summer fayre next month and raising funds to revamp part of the outdoor area.

Rode Heath Primary School is holding the fundraising event on Friday, June 28th and is appealing for donations for the event.

Chair of Rode Heath Primary School Parent, Teacher and Friends Association, Jill Margret said: "We would be extremely grateful for any donation, big or small towards our raffle which is a major highlight of the event.

"If you are unable to donate an item, please consider a monetary donation that can be used to purchase a prize.

"Any donation will be advertised on our promotional material. We anticipate reaching out to the whole of Rode Heath and Alsager as well as other areas via Facebook and advertising.

"We are currently raising funds for an extremely exciting rejuvenation of our KS1 outdoor area. This is a huge undertaking and will be ongoing for some time.

"Thanks in anticipation for your generosity and support."
