An Alsager care home is appealing to readers to help make a resident's 107th birthday extra special - by sending her a card.

Marie who lives at Twyford House Care Home in Richard Woodcock Way, is 107 years old in a few weeks time.

And the home, part of Lovett Care, wants to gather 107 cards for Marie to open on the big day and make it extra special.

Superfit Marie loves walking around the garden daily at Twyford House to get her steps in as well as enjoying all the activities and trips out - being outside is her favourite part of the day.

She said: "Living at Twyford House is like having a second chance in life. We have lived one life and now we are living another here!"

The home is planning a big party and would love for Marie to have 107 birthday cards (or more!) to commemorate the day.

If you are able to, please send your cards to: FOA: Marie - c/o Rachel Bolton, Twyford House, Richard Woodcock Way, Alsager ST7 2DF

"We can't wait to celebrate," said Twyford House.
