Passengers using London Northwestern Railway trains from Alsager are urged to check timetables which change this weekend.

From Sunday (December 15th) London Northwestern Railway will be making minor changes to some services, including an additional hourly train service between Liverpool Lime Street and Birmingham New Street.

London Northwestern Railway, whose trains call at Alsager station, say passengers travelling between Liverpool and Birmingham on a weekday will be able to choose from two trains per hour all day.

Jonny Wiseman, customer experience director for London Northwestern Railway, said: "Timetables are changing from this Sunday, so I urge passengers to check journey planners before travelling.

"Multiple routes will be subject to minor changes, with additional services made available on some lines including between Liverpool and Birmingham."

Rail passengers are encouraged to check their journeys as new departure times will apply on many routes across the region.

The changes come as part of the twice-yearly rail industry timetable change. A summary of the changes is available to view here
