The SMASH Primary Care Network (PCN) will only have one Covid-19 vaccination clinic this week which will be at the Middlewich site.

However, the PCN is expected to have a batch of Pfizer at Middlewich and both Pfizer and AstraZeneca at Alsager, so they are hoping to run three clinics at Middlewich and four at Alsager.

Although the primary care network has already started administering vaccines on group five (65 years of age and over), they have been asked to move to group six (adults aged 16 to 65 years in an at-risk group) and leave group five to the mass vaccination centres.

Posting on their Facebook page, Sandbach GPs, said: "If you are in group five and you get a letter from a mass site not us - use the link and book.

"We already have some group five invites out, so if you get one from us - feel free to use it, but please do not book twice - choose one or the other, not both then do not attend one.

"For group six, we are using the JCVI (The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation) agreed definitions of which there has just been an update. We are using nationally agreed searches to ID people in group six, so please do not contact us to see if you are in the group or if you think you should be.

"We will contact those the system highlights."
