Alsager will literally be 'bursting with pride' when the town's annual event takes to the streets this weekend.

Last year, a former X Factor contestant who has sung with Robbie Williams delighted the audience at Alsager in Pride.

Andy opened the entertainment at Alsager Cricket Club which was closed by another legend – Hayley "The Voice", a top vocalist, professionally trained in musical theatre.

This year, Emily Lockett, an independent British Country Pop/Rock singer/songwriter based in Stoke-on-Trent and Manchester - a mix of Taylor Swift meets Avril Lavigne, is appearing.

Crowds are expected to gather once again for Pride in Alsager 2024 which takes place this Saturday - September 21st.

A spokesperson said: "We'll have entertainment, stalls, our parade and much more, so save the date."

A colourful flash mob parade will walk through the streets starting at 11.30 am from the corner of Crewe Road and Church Road. to Alsager Cricket Club for an afternoon of music and events.
