A popular Italian restaurant in Alsager is rebranding and getting a fresh new look - paying homage to olives.

Romazzino Restaurant and Bar in Crewe Road will have a new name from November but the menu and staff will largely remain the same.

Three of Romazzino's longest serving team members are taking over the business with their own style.

Branding for the new restaurant which will be called 'L'ulivo'

The restaurant is opening with the new name of L'ulivo, paying homage to the beautiful olive growing area in Italy where some of the staff are from.

A spokesperson said: "The head chef and second chef remain the same so this will be more evolution than revolution with some of the dishes from their home region of Italy becoming part of the new menu.

"All current bookings for November and December have been contacted and transferred to the new booking system for L'ulivo."

Emilio Pasquale from L'ulivo added: "Eighty per cent of the menu will be the same with the addition of a few new dishes.

"It's a question of refreshing and rebranding the restaurant with a new name and we look forward to welcoming our customers."
