A popular Alsager venue has closed its doors for the final time and its future is yet to be disclosed.

Bank Corner in Lawton Road has been an entertainment venue and pub in the town for many years.

Last weekend, it closed its doors for the final time after a Mother's Day event on Sunday featuring an Elvis entertainer.

The popular pub served food and drinks and ran several music events and discos but alerted customers to the closure on its Facebook page.

No details about why it has closed or what is happening to the building have been revealed but posts on its Social Media page said it was "time for a change".

One post said: "Many thanks to all our customers. Three years we've had the Bank Corner and it's time for a change! This weekend is our closing weekend,

"The Bank Corner's change will be amazing, please do keep your eyes peeled."

The venue held a Mother's Day event featuring an Elvis tribute from 3 pm until 6 pm last Sunday before closing.

"What a day today, our last day as The Bank Corner. Ended our era with Elvis. Again, many thanks to you all. We appreciate you lots!"

Alsager Nub News has reached out to The Bank Corner for a comment but as yet, has not had a reply.
