A popular Alsager pub which has been closed for a couple of weeks due to the previous tenant leaving is hoping to reopen under new ownership this week.

The Wilbraham Arms, on Sandbach Road, Alsager, has been closed since 21st July, but it looks like residents may not have to wait much longer to get back to their favourite watering hole.

A post on social media by the new owners stated: "The Wilbraham Arms closed due to the previous tenant leaving, hopefully it will be reopening by Wednesday."
