Police carried out an early morning raid on a property in Alsager and found a small quantity of cannabis.

A spokesperson from Cheshire police said: "At around 5.49am yesterday (Monday 23rd June), officers conducted a warrant at an address on Crewe Road, Alsager.

"Inside the address, officers seized a small quantity of cannabis.

 "No one was inside at the time and enquiries are ongoing to identify the occupant."
