A white van which residents feared had been abandoned in Church Lawton is in the process of being removed.

Police said they were called to Cherry Lane at 8.20 am today ( Monday).

A spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: "At 8.20am on Monday 9 March, police were made aware of a suspicious vehicle on Cherry Lane, Church Lawton.

"The caller reported a white van which appeared to have been abandoned. The owner of the van has since been identified and recovery is underway."
