Police launch investigation after reports a teenager was chased with a wooden baton near Alsager School

Students at a school in Alsager were told to go inside after police were called to reports of an incident.

Witnesses saw several police cars at Alsager School in Hassall Road.

It is not known how many students were still at the school when the alleged incident was said to have happened but one parent, who cannot be named, told of how her child had to go ito a locked room.

A spokesperson from Cheshire police said: "At around 3.25pm police were called to reports of an incident on Hassall Road, Alsager.

"The victim, a teenage boy reported that another teenager, possibly armed with a wooden baton, has chased him. The boy ran into the school, who contacted police who attended the scene.

"There were no reports of any injuries and enquiries are ongoing."

Alsager Nub News approached Alsager School for a comment.
