Police appeal for witnesses following an attempted burglary in Alsager

Police investigating an attempt burglary in Alsager are appealing for information from members of the public.
At around 1.30 am today (Tuesday 17 February) three unknown offenders attempted to force their way into a property on Goldfinch Drive, Alsager, but fled the scene before entering the address.
Police swiftly made a search of the area but found no trace of the suspects.
Enquiries are ongoing to identify those involved and officers are appealing for information, CCTV or dashcam footage which could help with the investigation.
Detective Sergeant Laura Fox said: "Thankfully, on this occasion, the offenders were unsuccessful in their attempts to commit a burglary.
"However, we want to trace whoever is responsible before they target anywhere else.
"As part of our investigation we want to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the Goldfinch Drive area around the time the incident occurred.
"The same goes for any motorists who believe they may have captured the offenders on their dashcam.
"I urge anyone with any information, no matter how small, to report this via www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us or call 101, quoting IML 2272380."
