Police appeal for witnesses after a 'group of unknown men' damaged a cake shed and stole items

A legendary cake shed near Alsager is now back up and running after damage was caused and a number of times stolen.

Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for information after thieves targeted Bell's Pantry In Cherry Lane, Rode Heath.

A spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: "At 10.45pm on Monday 20 April, police were called to reports of a theft on Cherry Lane, Rode Heath.

"The caller reported that a group of unknown men had damage an 'honesty' cake shed and stole a number of items.

"Enquiries in relation to the incident are in the early stages and anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police at www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us quoting IML 2312809."
