Detectives investigating a burglary in Alsager are appealing for information and video footage from members of the public.

At around 8.15pm on Friday (October 21st), police were called to reports that a house on Reginald Settle Road was broken into while no-one was at home.

Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and detectives are urging anyone who was in the area and saw anything that may be relevant to their investigation to come forward.

Detectives also want to speak to anyone who believes they may have information relating to two other incidents that are potentially linked which occurred earlier this month.

On Friday, October 7th, a property on Frank Wilkinson Way, Alsager, was burgled between the hours of 4.30pm and 10pm. Jewellery, a quantity of cash and some documents were stolen as a result.

Similarly, between 4.30pm and 10pm on Saturday, October 8th, a quantity of cash and two sets of car keys were stolen from a property in Woodside Avenue, Alsager, whilst the occupants were out.

Detectives are now appealing to anyone with information on who is responsible, or has CCTV or dashcam footage of them, as well as to anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the stolen items to get in touch.

Detective Sergeant Williams said: "Burglary is a serious offence in which victims are targeted in their own home, the place they should be able to feel most safe.

"In this case no-one was home at the time of the offence, but the owners have been left feeling devastated and vulnerable because of whoever broke into their house.

"We also believe this burglary is connected to the burglaries on the October 7th and October 8th and urge anyone with information relating to these incidents to get in touch.

"We are committed to doing all we can to trace the person responsible, so that they can face the consequences of their actions.

"Enquiries are ongoing, and I appeal to anyone who was in the area and witnessed or has CCTV or dashcam footage of anything that may help our investigation to get in touch.

"The same goes for anyone who believes they may have seen or been offered the chance to buy jewellery since the incident occurred."

Anyone with information or CCTV footage that may aid detectives with their investigation should call Cheshire Constabulary on 101, quoting IML 1394090, give the details via https://cheshire.police.uk/contact/general-enquiries or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Dashcam footage can be submitted online at www.cheshire.police.uk/advice-and-support/roads-and-vehicle-safety/submit-dashcam-footage.
