Plan your trip: recycling centers brace themselves for Easter crowds

Household waste recycling centres in Cheshire East are expected to see a surge in visitors over the Easter period and residents are encouraged to consider visiting at another time where possible.
The Easter period is usually a peak time for people spring cleaning and tackling garden projects, and visits to household waste recycling centres increase as a result.
Cheshire East Council has issued the following advice and information to residents planning to visit over the next week:
- Residents who need to visit during the Easter period are reminded that they need to book a slot in advance if they are visiting at the weekend or on any of the Bank Holidays. Booking a slot is quick and easy and can be done via the council's website.
- Sites are also expected to be particularly busy on Tuesday 22 April and residents are therefore advised, if possible, to visit later in the week.
- Between April and September, sites are open until 6pm on weekdays (excluding Bank Holidays) and are usually much quieter later in the day.
- Sites are usually busiest between 11am and 2pm.
- Sites may need to be closed at short notice and visitors turned away if traffic management becomes an issue and it is unsafe to continue operating.
