One person taken to hospital with smoke inhalation following log burner fire.

One person was taken to hospital as a precaution following a log burner fire in Church Lawton.

Firefighters from Congleton and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the incident in Congleton Road South on Monday (February 6th).

A spokesperson from Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "Firefighters were called to a report of a house fire on Congleton Road South.

"The crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a high pressure fan to put out the fire and clear smoke.

"One casualty was taken to hospital as a precaution following smoke inhalation."
