Plans for the revamp of the Royal Oak in Rode Heath by its new owners have been unveiled.

The Brownlow Inn in Brownlow Heath near Sandbach announced in April that they had bought the pub, which had been on the market for a while.

The pub, in Sandbach Road, was on the market for £395,000 with Fleurets Limited though no details about how much it was sold for have been released.

A Facebook page has been set up for the Royal Oak and a new logo for the pub has been unveiled as seen below.

Designs showing the revamp have also been shared on The Royal Oak Facebook page.

The Royal Oak said on its Facebook page: "We are pleased to share the first draft of our preliminary drawings as we prepare our planning application.

"As you can see from the attached site plan, we aim to improve our off-road car parking infrastructure, including dedicated disabled bays.

"We also plan to add disabled toilet facilities, improved storage areas and walk-in refrigerators for the kitchen.

"We are very excited to commence the refurbishment work and look forward to any feedback."
