Members of a new group are hitting all the right notes at a new group at Twyford House Care Home in Alsager.

Alsager Dementia Friendly Community has teamed up with Twyford House to run dementia friendly sing-a-long sessions.

Once a month, the top-of-the-range home bursts into song with tunes from the 1950s, 1960s and others.

And a song book has even been developed to help the members of the newly-formed group at the top-of-the-range Richard Woodcock Way care home.

Kath Reader, lead at Alsager Dementia Friendly Community, said the group is proving to be popular.

"It's a great opportunity for people to get to together and sing familiar songs," she said.

A spokesperson from Twyford House said: "We are passionate about supporting the local community and being able to offer dementia friendly support services."

Twyford House Care Home is no stranger to this kind of activity as it actively promotes a healthy lifestyle and positive wellbeing all year round.

Their holistic approach to care and support ensures they provide a full and varied activities programme that meets the needs of everyone who lives in the home.

The home holds regular exercise sessions that are fun and help start the day with a positive mindset.
