A new barbers shop has opened in Alsager and the owner says it's "so far so good".

Alsager Gents opened its doors on Monday (March 18th) in the former premises of Wall Street boutique opposite Alsager Civic.

Barber, Alan Nabi who is moving to nearby Stoke-on-Trent, says the response to the Lawton Road shop has been good.

"All my friends are barbers. Alsager is a lovely town and a great location for my shop, The response so far has been good," he said.

Alan says he will probably work part-time in the shop which has a stylish mini red car for children to help relax them when coming to have their hair cut.

"We want them to feel like they're coming into a toy shop and for them to feel relaxed and calm," he said.

"We've included the car as it's fun and will stop little ones getting upset when they come in and have their hair cut," he said.

The business offers a range of services from hair cuts to beard trims and shapes to waxing and hot towel shaves.
