New 850-capacity independent music venue set to open near Alsager this May

A new 850-capacity independent music venue is on track to open in Crewe this year - confirmed the operators.

The International live music venue, events space and bar is set to open at the former MMU refectory, off Crewe Green Road this May.

This new independent venue will be run by 'leading' event management company, Music Is Now - based on the North Wales/England border.

The International will be just a 10-minute walk from Crewe Railway Station and opposite Crewe Business Park.

An Instagram page theintercrewe was set up last November - confirming the news.

The International told Nub News: "We're just a 10-minute walk from Crewe train station.

"More information will be revealed soon and once tickets go on sale for events."

The International will be located off Crewe Green Road - a 10-minute walk from Crewe Railway Station (The International).

Back in August, a member of Music Is Now posted on social media - calling for live music acts.

Promoter, Dan Read, said: "Hi all. We're looking for local acts, originals and covers for a new 850-capacity venue opening in Crewe in 2023.

"If you're interested in performing there please email all of act's details to [email protected]."

Lots of work has been taking place to transform the music venue into a contemporary events space.
