National Lottery searching for missing millionaire who purchased winning ticket in Cheshire East
By Matthew Hancock-Bruce 22nd Jul 2026
Could you be Cheshire East's missing millionaire?
The National Lottery is urging all Lotto players who bought a ticket for the draw on July 4 to double check their tickets.
It is understood the winning ticket was purchased at a retailer in Cheshire East.
The ticket, one of ten Guaranteed Millionaire Raffle winners, has the code 'AQUA 0049 1681'.
Anyone who purchased a Lotto ticket in Cheshire East for the draw in question, whether a local or simply visiting the area, should check their tickets to see if their Guaranteed Millionaire Raffle code is a match.
Andy Carter, senior winners' advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said, "This is an incredible win for one lucky Lotto player and we want nothing more than to reunite them with their life-changing win.
"Someone out there is a millionaire, and they have no idea that they are sitting on this life-changing sum of money – just imagine what you'd do with that amount in your bank account.
"We are urging Lotto players to check their tickets to see if they are our missing millionaire.
"Were you in East Cheshire in the run-up to the Lotto draw on July 4? Our mystery winner may not even live locally and could have picked up their ticket while enjoying the warm weather in the area.
"We'd love to see this prize reach its rightful owner, so please check your tickets, ask friends and family to do the same, and have one last look in those pockets and drawers. You never know, it could be you."
The lucky ticket-holder has until December 31 to claim their prize.
Anyone no longer in possession of their ticket who believes they have a genuine claim, can still make a claim in writing to Allwyn, but it must be within 30 days of the draw.
