Motorists from Alsager travelling to Sandbach are being given advance notice of a road closure which may affect them.

Cheshire East Council is giving advance notice of works in Church Lane, Sandbach Heath, which will see the road closed for five days from November 28th.

Works will be taking place to remove temporary fencing and reinstate the verge and highway boundary along a section of the road between Congleton Road and Willow Drive.

This is following works by a third party and will ensure that safety for highways users is restored.

During the closure, the alternative route will be via Heath Road, The Hill, Old Mill Road, and Congleton Road. Further information about the diversion can be found https://one.network/?tm=131521473

Pedestrian access to any premises along the road will be maintained at all times. Cyclists will need to dismount to gain access.

Vehicle access for residents and emergency vehicles will be maintained where possible.

For any enquiries relating to the works, contact Cheshire East Highways on: 0300 123 5020.
