A butchery business owner who lives in Alsager has launched a stall at the town's weekly market.

And if the enterprise is successful, Dan Crick of high class butchers, H. Davidson hopes to take the offering further in his hometown.

Dan and his wife Heather both live in Alsager so it was a 'no brainer' to open a stall outside at Alsager's Wednesday Market at Alsager Civic.

Dan's wife, Heather, takes the van packed with meat and vegetable offerings to the weekly market. The offering follows hot on the heels of the closure of Hall Farm Shop in the town which sold meat.

He launched H. Davidson four years ago and the business, based at Lowe's Farm Shop in Middlewich near Sandbach, has gone from strength to strength.

It sells an array of meat and vegetables all locally sourced in the area where the business is based. The products can be ordered on-line here and the business does home delivery.

The father-of-four, who used to live in Sandbach said: "We love the business and what we do. We're proud to have built up such a good following and have an on-line shop so people can order and then pick up from Alsager on Wednesdays.

"We know how little time many families have and aim to provide meat and sides which go together and can be cooked and ready on the table with as little fuss as possible."

He added: "We believe in honest service, trusted expertise, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where our customers feel like part of the family.

" Our team is passionate about the craft of butchery and ensuring every cut we prepare meets the highest standards."

So good is H. Davidson's business that it is the Cheshire winner of the 'Best Butchers' 2025 England 's Business Awards.

Dan and his wife Heather live in Alsager with their four children, a town Dan enjoys living in.

"We love taking the children to Milton Park and letting the young ones watch the wildlife on The Mere. It's such a great place to live."
