Motorists are being advised to final alternative routes after the M6 was closed between junctions 16 and 17 following a collision.

A spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: "Two traffic lanes are currently closed northbound whilst officers respond to the incident, with motorists are advised to find alternative routes where possible.

"Thank you for your patience."
